The Second Meeting of the 10th Council of the Steering Gear Branch of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers was Successfully Held in Shengzhou

During June 3th to June 5th 2025, The second meeting of the 10th council of the Steering Gear Branch (SGB) of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) was successfully held in Shengzhou, Zhejiang, a city with beautiful view. The meeting was hosted by the chairman party, Hang Lung Group Ltd, and organized by Zhejiang MAYATA Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. The leaders of the CAAM and representatives of the branch’s council parties presented in the meeting to discuss the future development of the industry.


The Deputy Mayor of the people’s Government of Shengzhou attended the opening ceremony and presented a speech, giving a warm welcome to all guests who have traveled this far. He mentioned, Shengzhou City is open to diversity to embrace the evolution of automobile industry, and looking forward to corporation with steering gear enterprises to reach high quality development, powering local economy.

Yijun Xia, the chairman of the branch, had a deep analysis of the present global business environment and challenges within the industry, calling for a shift from pressure to motivation, a plan for technology innovation and internationalization, improvement of overall competitiveness within the industry, as a solution to cope with highly dynamic market environment.
In the meeting, representatives deliberated on the branch annual report of 2024, and gave an outlook at improvement for 2025. The report showed that, under the guidance of CAAM, SGB has made steady progress, accomplished established plans, operated in a smooth and orderly manner. Its working effectiveness was highly recognized by the leaders of CAAM.

Li Hong, the director of the Membership Department of CAAM, shared the operational data of China’s Automobile Industry from January to May of the year 2025, and outlook for the following rest of the year. This has offered crucial references for the industry concerning decision-making, which aids enterprises in accurate grasp of market dynamics and scientific development strategies.

At the meeting, each council member reported the business status of their enterprises in 2024, and engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on important topics such as the technological transformation and upgrading of steering systems, orderly competition, industry resource sharing, and planning for 2025, jointly contributing ideas and strategies for high-quality development of the industry.

As the organizing party of this conference, Zhou Youhua, chairman of Zhejiang MAYATA Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., delivered a speech at the meeting, introducing that Zhejiang MAYATA has been deeply involved in the field of key components for automobile steering and braking for over ten years. With its excellent technical advantages and excellent quality, it has launched steering worm wheels and shafts suitable for various torques, which are well recognized by the market. Currently, 10 million vehicles have been installed with worm wheels produced by MAYATA, with a zero after-sales rate. In the future, MAYATA will continue to increase R&D investment and launch innovative products such as T-shaped screw rods suitable for rear-wheel steering of automobiles, lightweight resin pulleys for R-EPS, ball screws for EMB, and planetary ball screws, providing higher-quality and more efficient transmission solutions for China's steering and braking industries, and contribute in technology innovation of the industry and achieve sustainable development.


After the meeting, the participating leaders visited production workshops and testing centers of MAYATA, had a more comprehensive understanding of the company’s production and operation status and its achievements in technology innovation, giving highly credits to MAYATA’s comprehensive strength and its potential for further development.
